ISUZU OBLITERATES SALES TARGETS

In a somewhat subdued market, Isuzu Ute Australia have once again pulled a rabbit from their hat and achieved double digit growth for the ninth consecutive year, posting a 10.4% increase in sales year on year.

The relative newcomers to the Aussie touring sector are continuing to shake up the offroading market a decade after joining the party. What’s all the more remarkable is that Isuzu is a two-vehicle brand that faces plenty of stiff competition with rusted-on supporters.

The MU-X is now the number one selling ute-based SUV under $70k nationally, while the D-MAX has had another impressive year, bumping the Navara out of fifth place in the one-tonne ute segment for overall sales.

Since opening their doors in Australia back in 2008 the Japanese automaker have clocked over 120,000 total vehicle sales. They’re certainly showing no signs of slowing down, with a December 2017 sales total of almost 3,000 vehicles registering as the second strongest in Isuzu Ute Australia history.

Company big boss Mr. Hiro Kuramoto commented, “It is particularly exciting to see such dramatic and continuous growth for 9 years in a row in a key market such as Australia.

“As we head into our 10th year of sales, we are confident that our ongoing commitment to continuously refine and improve our products to meet Australian needs will ensure another exciting year for the brand as we strive to hit double-digit growth again in 2018.
