When we get to this time of year, we reflect. We get a month to unpack the rig, clean tents or throw them out, depending on the mildew factor. We get to detail our rigs, for what reason we’re still not sure, and we get to go through the image bank and pick the eyes out of what really happened out in the wild this year.

So, behold, the finest images from our grittiest year on the road, off the road, in the water, in the sky, and every place between. This is a year in the Australian dust, captured.

We also get a chance to showcase the resilience of remote Australian photographers throughout history, and then take a FIFO trip to document the epilepsy-inducing colour bomb of the Kimberley waterfalls.
