STRAYA
Astray in ‘Straya…
This issue begins with a hilarious tale about being an Aussie, then the printed page splits into four different directions to find out what exists in our most far flung destinations.
First we headed up our tropical coasts. Carlisle Rogers took an intepid caravan of tourers to the wildest corners of the Kimberley; while Sean Scott tackled a different coast at the same latitude, bush-bashing through secret North Queensland byways.
Still in the tropics, we fished the wild waters of the Gulf, then we made it down the fold of the Aussie map just in time to make it to the Simpson Desert for the kickoff of the Big Red Bash. Birdsville became a calming place to ground ourselves after such a dizzying month.
